Boats used for Fishing
If one is interested in going fishing and doesn't want to be stuck casting from shore, then a boat that can be fished from is your solution. Fortunately one does not need to spend a million dollars for a large sportfishing vessel in order to fish from a boat. Fishing kayaks have become very popular these days and can be had for a few hundred dollars in used condition. Otherwise, fishing boats run the gamut from large offshore vessels to small rowboats and dingys. Obviously mobility on the water is an issue and vessels are either engine powered or human powered when used for fishing(sailboats are generally not fished from although it is possible). Engine powered boats will give an advantage to the beginning and serious angler alike as more water can be covered in a shorter amount of time. Fishing boats should have fishing rod holders and open rather than covered or closed hulls. The more room to move around in, the better the boat will be for fishing.
