Fishing Tips
Wearing the right Fishing Gear
My memories of fishing as a youngster around six or seven are vivid and satisfying, I remembered I started with a "snatch pole," that my grandmother had given me. It was a long bamboo pole, that had a fishing line fixated to the end with a hook, no reel and a sinker/float depending on the tide and what was biting. The object was to cast your pole at arms reach holding tight not to let go, so the line with the hook and bait can get toward deep water and catch a bite from something decent in size. Even as a child part of the fishing gear ritual was to have our tackle boxes handy. It is important to become familiar with having the basic necessities when on a fishing trip or just a leisure activity.
For a beginner fisherman/woman the basics are required with regards to having the right gear to fish with:
*fishing pole (prices vary but popular discount stores carry variety)
*tackle box (depends on the type of fishing being done you want to be prepared)
- lures
- hooks
- first aid kit
- fishing knife
- fishing line
- sinkers
